You May Be Eligible for the RMG Home Appliance Service Plan

The RMG Home Appliance Service Plan offers up to $5,000 of coverage annually for*:up to $10,000 of coverage annually for*:

Range, oven and cook top (gas or electric) up to $1,250 per year
Clothes dryer up to $850 per year
Clothes washer up to $850 per year
Dishwasher up to $800 per year
Kitchen refrigerator and freezer up to $1,250 per year

What’s Covered

Uneconomical to repair

If the cost of any repair exceeds the cost of replacement with materials of like kind and quality, size, capacity or functionality, as determined by Us in Our sole and final judgement based on the Repair Service Provider’s assessment, it is Our right to replace the part, components or Appliance, subject to Our liability being limited to the lesser of (a) the actual cost of the replacement; and (b) a cash settlement payable to the Plan Member equal to the remaining coverage amount available for the applicable Appliance.

Part delay

If a part required for repair is materially delayed, as determined by Us in Our sole and final judgement based on the Repair Service Provider’s assessment, we will pay the Plan Member a cash settlement equal to the lesser of (a) the sum of the approved cost of the part plus $125; and (b) the remaining coverage amount available for the applicable Appliance.

Parts & labour coverage

The Plan provides coverage for the eligible repairs of covered major home Appliances. Simply pay the $75 consultation fee (plus applicable taxes) and, upon approval, the remaining repair expenses are covered through the Home Appliance Service Plan, up to the remaining annual limits.

The Following Limitation is Applicable to All Systems**

If We determine, in Our sole and final judgment based on the Repair Service Provider’s assessment, that the manufacturer of a System that would otherwise be covered under this Plan no longer manufactures the parts required to repair the Plan Member’s System, or no longer makes the required parts readily available commercially for retail, the Plan Member’s System will not be eligible for services under the Plan.

Plan services do not provide coverage for furnaces older than 20 years, geothermal heating systems, oil powered heating and cooling systems, or Heating Replacement Units (HRV’s). Plan services do not provide coverage for air conditioning systems older than 12 years. Plan services do not provide coverage for water heaters older than 12 years.

Transferable

The Plan can be transferred to another eligible property. This plan applies only to one Home.

Service Guarantee

No consultation fee will apply if your Appliance stops working within 90 days of paying a consultation fee and it needs to be repaired or replaced.

Cancel Anytime

Your cancellation will be effective the next business day and you’ll no longer continue to have services under the Plan for the remainder of the current billing period, unless otherwise prohibited by law. You will not be able to reenroll after cancellation.
